What does a WhatsApp message cost?
Messages you initiate are billed by Meta, straight to your own Business account: to a Swiss number, CHF 0.017 for a utility message and CHF 0.059 for a marketing one. Your first 1,000 service messages each month stay free per number, and a conversation opened from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad is free for 72 hours. The Sandra licence is added on top, from CHF 39 per month. See the detail.
Is the pricing going to change?
It changed on 1 October 2026. Meta now allows only two exemptions: the first 1,000 service messages each month, per business number, and conversations opened from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, free for 72 hours. Everything else is billed per message. Our calculator already applies these rules.
Where is my customers' data hosted?
Application data is hosted and processed in Switzerland, at Infomaniak. Messages travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business API, as with any official solution. We document precisely what stays with us and what goes through Meta. See the detail.
Do we need our IT team to get started?
Not for the proof of concept: setting up the number, the templates and the first scenarios takes no development. Your IT team only comes in at the CRM or ERP integration stage.
What do you need on your side to get started?
Three things, and most companies already have them: a Meta Business account where you are an administrator, a dedicated phone number that can receive an SMS or a voice call, and a WhatsApp Business account with its display name, business category and description. Meta then validates the display name and asks for a payment method on the account. We take care of those steps with you. Opening your Sandra workspace takes less than five minutes after that.
Can our field teams keep the WhatsApp Business app?
Yes. Sandra and the WhatsApp Business app coexist on the same number. Your field teams keep their tool and their history, while the platform gives visibility and reporting to the central team.
Which AI model do you use?
Sandra is model-agnostic. We combine OpenAI and Mistral depending on the use case, weighing cost, latency and data residency. You're not locked into one provider.
